Victoria Davidson BSc, MSc (Psych), ND
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine
I have always been fascinated by the medical world and our body’s innate ability to heal itself. Naturopathic medicine enabled me to utilise my passion for health, well-being and prevention to educate those wishing to improve their health. I am a firm believer that each person is unique therefore each person needs to be treated differently; which is a foundation of naturopathic medicine. I will work with you to help identify and reduce factors in your life, whether lifestyle or dietary, which may be having a negative impact on your life, in addition to adopting healthier changes.
As a Doctor of Naturopathic medicine I view myself as a mediator, an educator, between you and your health. It is important for individuals to take a more pro-active approach, as well take responsibility for their health. Nutrition and digestive health are key aspects of my practice, as it can have an amazing effect on one’s health and wellbeing.
I am a graduate of the four-year, full-time medical programme at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (Canada), where I received my doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine (2006). During my final year of the programme, I completed a 12 month internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic. Prior to this, I completed my undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Pre-Medical Science from the University of Windsor (Canada).
I also qualified as a Reflexologist (2008). I have attended a variety of conferences/seminars to gain increased expertise including: Optimising Health and Lifespan trough Nutrition and Detoxification, Food related disorders and autoimmunity, Thyroid and adrenal dysfunction, body composition, insulin resistance & weight management, metabolic balance, CAM Autoimmunity seminars as well as Gut & brain axis, and Nutrition based Functional Medicine conference. I also attended the International Functional Medicine (IFM) Detox Summit and the Metabolic Revolution Summit.
I furthered my studies in the UK and was awarded a Master of Science, with Distinction, in Psychology from the University of East London (2012). My thesis was a neuropsychological study in adults diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME).
I was employed within the NHS for several years, working in both an acute respiratory care setting and based within the community. It was an invaluable experience, but felt it was time to leave and continue on my journey of educating and inspiring individual’s about their health and to follow my passion.
I look forward to working with you.
